Emeryson 250 Formula Junior invite class

We have a 1959 formula race car for sale. It is an Emeryson 250. It has quite a bit of history and provenance. The Emery brothers built a number of race cars including Formula 250, 500, Junior, and Formula 1 cars. This is a front wheel drive 250cc car that dominated the 250cc division of the 500 motor club. Much has been written about this car.

This car was brought to the USA 30 or more years ago. The original Velocette engine was replaced with a BSA engine. It was vintage raced thru the 1990s. I purchased it a couple of years ago and got it running. It needs minor fettling to run properly or a full restoration is deserved. It is located near Atlanta Georgia USA. We can arrange to bring it to the Savannah port for export.

The center photo is from Steamboat Springs, probably from the early '90's. John Burnham, long-time RMVR member and editor of the APEX Quarterly owned and drove this car for many years. Thanks for the flashback.

Thanks for the reply Bob. That is an awesome pic. Those sight of the 2 hulking Bocars on the tail of the diminutive Emeryson make for quite the picture. I love the early style bubble helmet also! I couldn't resist this car when I purchased it a couple of years ago. It would make a great low dollar vintage race car or hillclimb car and it has a heck of a provenance to boot!
