    Default FC Top Speed at COTA

    Does anybody know what top speed a competitive FC does at COTA ?
    Im trying to figure out the gearing on my Sports Racer what should be similar to a fast FC

    COTA's got that long straight......Coming out of the Daytona bus stop one has a long run through NASCAR 3 & 4 and then straight into and still flat out through much of the trioval. Top gear in the FC is one tooth under.

    Depending on the wind direction, I was between 136 and 139, but I'm not the fastest FC on that track by any stretch. You don't generally get a FC much above 140-142 on a road course without taking wings off.

    In my 2001 Van Diemen - used to be owned by Niki Coello - using AIM technology I hit 142 MPH on the back straight at COTA - i think I ran a 1 to 1 gear - I think with a bigger gear I could have had more top end as I redlined about 2/3 of the way down the straight
