Default 95 VD Pinto Starter Needed

    Gents,
My original starter is now kaput so I’m looking for a replacement. Looks like the one on the Primus website but he shows out of stock. Can anyone supply a make/model or part number for this unit? Rick Kirchner once posted that a mid 90s Taurus starter would work but wanted to verify before ordering one. Other suggestions welcome.

    Thanks,
    Greg

It isnt a direct comparison since I have a Carbir, but I wouldn't be surprised that it used a starter common with VD. The off the shelf starter I found was from a V6 Probe, which is likely the same as one used on a Taurus as well.

Mid 90s Taurus is correct. Cheap enough to buy two.

    Default FC starter

This starter works great in my Zetec which is hard to start.
I recommended it to a friend with a pinto fc and he is also very happy with it
O'Rileys Parts store N613177A Ultimate starter. They build it better than the regular line.
Someone who uses them in Zetecs gave me the info and I am grateful.
    Around $125.00
    Good Luck,
    Skip Weld
