    Default Tecno

Time to get back into it. Looking for a Tecno. Prefer FB but any version will do. Complete or roller.

    Thanks! Allan

    Hi Allan,

Tecno's are as rare as hens teeth here in the US. I owned a F2 car for a few years. I imported it from France. It is now owned by a friend in NJ who also owns two other Tecno's but I am sure none are for sale.

There was a Tecno FB out your way that I lost track of. It is this car: http://www.race-cars.com/carsold/oth...6/69t006ss.htm. If I remember correctly the owner bought bought the car off of Race-cars.com and repainted it red. I am not sure where it ended up.

I suggest you contact Taiju Kobayashi in Japan. He runs the Tecno registry and knows where most of the Tecno's are. You can email him at tecnoregister@gmail.com. The registry may also be helpful in finding a car. Here is the link: https://www.garagetalk.jp/tecnoregister.html.

BTW, Tecno's are wonderful handling race cars. Don't let the short wheelbase scare you off. Those Italian Kart makers knew what they were doing.

    Cheers, Joe

    Thanks Joe,

Years ago (many) I owned and drove a 1-litre F3 Tecno in FC in CenDiv. I always liked that car a lot. Of course, I've liked all the race cars I've owned but the Tecno was a particular favorite.

I have been in touch with Taiju, and there are several cars available in Europe. I just reckoned there were a few sitting idle in the backs of shops/garages here in the US that could use some exercise and I'd be happy to get one up and running again.

Thanks for getting back to me, and let your friend know if he ever needs a good home for one of his Tecnos I'd be happy to help.

    Best,

    Allan
