So blessed to have known him. Absolutely one of the best people on and off the circuit.

He was way too young.

So sad, a great sportsman.
PLEASE, wear your masks when out.
Vic Elford, Jim Pace and Greg Borland were my driving instructors. I had the luxury of several private counseling sessions with Jim, all were lauding my judgement in the rain. Saddened beyond words. For Deanie and me, the Rosary is in order for the next few days.

I never knew Jim very well as he got involved with Skip Barber as I was leaving, but did enjoy living vicariously though his CanAm videos.
Here is one of my favorites:

Very sorry to read this. None of us are exempt.
RIP, Jim.
I ran Jim in Camel Light in the early 90's - lovely bloke. One of the better coaches around and all round nice guy. IMSA did honour him at the 12hours of Sebring and I had forgotten his long tenure with Skip Barber at Sebring Raceway.
RIP
I was blessed to have had him for all 3 of my Skip Barber classes I had at IRP, Road America and Lime Rock. Great instructor, great dry wit and an absolute blast to be around. His HSR videos with instruction are great as he is cool and calm while muscling around a high HP Can Am car. Taken far too soon. Clip the apex on your way through the pearly gates Jim!
