For Sale Lola/Crossle Formula Super Vee

Homologated by the SCCA in 1985 as a Formula Continental, the air cooled Formula Super Vee is now a vintage formula race car. The car has a fresh zero hour 2.0L air cooled T4 motor attached to a Hewland Mk8 gearbox. The car has seen numerous chassis upgrades to include a rebuilt engine basket, new fuel cells, koni shocks and more that I can't think of. All oil lines are now carbon fiber. Take a look at https://youtu.be/u5n3frzZROg to see the car at the track.

There is a SUBSTANTIAL spares package that comes with the car inclusive of wheels, suspension parts, & motor parts. Please message me for more information or if you would like to come see the car in Evans City, PA. Feel free to text 724-766-2178 or send a PM and I will answer what I can.

    Is this a cross between a Lola T320-something and a Crossle 35V?

Actually a Crossle 50F, built by Frank Resciniti when he worked at Skip Barber Racing School.

Somewhere on Apex Speed is a more complete history.

PIc 5 is the Tom Pomeroy LOLA T-252 from 1977 or 1978.

Not sure how it got in there.

That might have been the original "donor" car.

It got there because Tom originally owned the T252 that is the back half of the car. I’ve been around this car for about 25 years and have a very complete history of the car. Now....I just want it sold.

    Default hours/miles

    Marshall -

Probably between 1000 and 2000 miles depending on how you drive it. As for hours.....you can likely do the math based on the tracks you drive taking into consideration track length and your average time per lap.

    Default mileageguesstimate

8-10 weekends if you figure 200 miles per weekend. About the same as a BDDBDG engine in a FA or F2 car.

Someone really needs to buy this and come run it with SVRA or whomever. Would run in the group that includes FCs in SVRA. These are awfully neat links in the FSV-FC line. 2.0 aircooled have such an interesting sound too...

I really don't understand how these a/c cars aren't more popular. The bang-for-the-buck is strong and they should be a lot of fun in Vintage racing! With the Vintage max 2.0 engine size on this one, it whould do well!

dropped the price $1,500, really need to clear up the space in the shop & the car needs to find a home where it will be driven.
