    Default Corona Cup Event #13 - 6/23/2020 USF2000 2017 @ Mt Tremblant

As expected, even though there is still a threat of Covid-19, the attendance appears to be on the decline which is an indication of the real race season ramping up as well as people just finding more to do outside. So given that, I plan to put the ApexSpeed Sim Racing league on hiatus until the after the Runoffs and things slow down a bit more again unless things get out of whack again and we aren't allowed to leave our houses anymore. This next week we will be running Mont Tremblant and then the following week I will likely put an oval on the server as our last race before going into hibernation for the next several monts. During that time though, I will likely put a track on the server like Nordshleife or LeMans and leave it open for hot laps for anyone who wants to compete for time.

For next week's ApexSpeed.com Corona Cup Event we will be at Circuit Mont Tremblant. Come on out and race with us!

    Some things to remember:

Remember to please use your real first and last name before joining the server. By default, rFactor2 will use your Steam account name, but you can edit your name next to your "Nickname" within rFactor2 in the upper right corner of the landing page where you select your option for single or multi-player.

It is suggested that everyone log into the Discord channel for chat. Discord is a Skype type of application used by gamers. You'll need to install and enter the ApexSpeed.com Sim Racing room linked below. https://discordapp.com/

Please bind a key for "Push to talk" in Discord so that others don't have to hear unnecessary noise you broadcast to the room. We don't need to hear that you screwed up, your shifters clicking, your simulated wind noise, or that your dog wants to go outside. Instructions for doing this are here: https://appuals.com/enable-configure-push-talk-discord/

Now that the group is getting bigger, please refrain from unnecessary voice chat during qualifying and the race. Some of us can't pat their head and rub their belly at the same time, so please be considerate to that and only use voice chat during qualifying or racing for race related discussion like alerting people you're pulling out of the pit lane, a request to restart a race (like we had last night), or a huge pileup in T1, etc...

    Server Name: ApexSpeed
    Passw: rfactor2

Driving aids allowed: Invulnerability, Auto Blip, Auto Clutch

Discord Room: https://discord.gg/PnYjbmh - Please bind a key for "Push to talk".

Please subscribe to the car and track in your Steam account before loading rFactor2 and you'll automatically get the car and track installed when you join the server.

So I just came back from Mt. Tremblant.

I immediately jumped on the sim when I got home so it was fresh in my mind.

The track is CLOSE on the sim but feels narrower, which changes a few of the corners slightly. It's not a massive difference but having driven them back to back it was obvious.

The basic layout is right, some places I think you could actually go faster in real life, but some places no way. like T7 and T3.

Also I wish I had as much balls in real life as I do on the sim lol.

T1-2-3 is some scary stuff in real life.

Awesome feedback, James! Thank you. I always like hear how accurate sim tracks are that weren't laser scanned. I'd love to drive that track in real life someday.
