The VW 1800 motor I purchased for my Ralt RT 5 came with a Racetronix fuel injection unit, but no iginition system. I purchased an Electromotive HPX ignition unit. However, there maybe a compatability issue between the two. The Racetronix unit has 4 wires coming from the black box. 12 volt positive & ground (no problem) and positive & negative coil wires. Since there is no coil, there is nowhere to connect these, unless they are attached to the accessory terminals. I've tried to contact the tech department at Electromotive, but I haven't had any response. Is anybody running this combination now, or in the past, that can clarify the hookup? Thanks.............

Bart, I'm assuming you sent an email message to Electromotive. Try calling. I called them last month and they were very helpful. I got the phone number from their web page.

    Hi Russ,

Yes, I sent them an email. I'll try calling tomorrow. The guy I bought the ignition from was not familiar with the Racetronix injection. He thinks it will get hooked up to the tach terminal, but he wasn't sure. Don't want to take a chance and burn something up!
    Thanks...............
