I burned a hole in my lower rear wing element last weekend (long story). It might be a Ralt piece, according to legend. Here's the specs:

    ~8" chord
    ~42.8125" span
~1.875" thick at the leading edge

    4) ~0.1875 thick triangular tabs on the bottom for mounting, ~8" apart in the span direction and ~4.4275" apart in the chord direction.

Is this Ralt? If so, where can I get another?

    Hey Tim,

Just from your description (and from knowing a bit of the designer's history), I'd say the chances are pretty good that it's at least a Ralt-style wing known as the 'Linx wing'. We pop rivet a ~5" square piece of aluminum to the bottom of the lower wing element, with a matching piece of heat barrier material between it and the wing to spread out the heat load, and that seems to work well enough.

How badly is it damaged? Send me a digital pic or two -- it may be repairable.

    Thanks again, Stan!

It's pretty badly burnt (think "chunk missing") and twisted, but should be repairable for a spare.

Of course it's the only wing element I don't have a spare of in the piles of stuff.

Thanks for the "Linx" info. And thanks for the heat shield idea... normally we would have done something but we were lucky to get the muffler on in time, at all.
