    Default 98k VD suspension mounting

Looking for some help and advice on the rear mounting point of the front, lower A arm. When I received the car the A arm was jammed in between the two mounts. This looks difficult to get the hardware in the lower pick-up. Are both needed/used? Appreciate the help.

upper mount is for anti-dive, lower mount is no anti-dive. Same at the rear for anti-squat. on my FC the mounts don't have space in the middle. I use one long bolt with a bushing in the unused mount. If you did the same you'd need two bushings. In your case if you use the bottom one you can put the proper bolt in upside down with the locknut on top. If I were you, since that spot is hard to easily see, I'd get a bolt with a drilled head and wire it around the mount so if the nut ever came off the bolt wouldn't drop out.
