Beautiful. What is a "fresh Dixon"? Dave Dixon hasn't built engines in years, or is he back in business?

Dave, the engine was rebuilt by Dixon when Rick rebuilt the car and it has sat in his show room since then so no races on the engine. Similarly for the Tiga, engine rebuilt and Ron quit racing so it was idle in the showroom as well.

    Thanks

The Goodyear slicks are a hint about the time period they last raced but it looks very clean!

Both were typically very well prepared and maintained cars when they were raced. But as Joe points out they have been sitting in the showroom which is climate controlled. Should not take anything special but fresh fluids, battery, maybe some hoses and belts.

I'd also rebuild masters s and brake calipers, new pads and just go over the cars thoroughly. That's a long time for a car to sit

That is correct...I want to get intimate with every nut and bolt... Its a superstition thing....The parts that I don't take apart and rebuild...those are the ones the race gods will cause to fail on race day.....happens every time. Going through the pain of the restoration kind of breaks the curse.

Plus I already have a 342 that needs a tranny.

    Default Update

Just so everyone is aware, these cars have been started and run around the parking lot twice a year while not being raced. Also the master cylinders on the Tiga were all just replaced and fresh fluid circulated through the systems. They are motivated to sell so call and shoot them an offer.
