For Sale 1988 Chevron B67 Formula Continental

This is chassis # 4 of 5 Chevron B67s produced for 1988 with the 2000 cc Ford engine. It is in unrestored condition but has been expertly maintained. It has been used for occasional track days for the last 6 years and was run by the previous owner in SCCA New England Division club races. The original log book is present. Spares include wheels, rain tires, front and rear wings. It is ready to run reliably for DE and track days but would need to be refreshed for competition use. Belts and fire system are up to date. Please PM me with any questions. Asking price is $15,000.

    Default Chevron B67

I am no expert on Chevron history. A brief history of the multiple reiterations of Chevron after Bennett's death can be found at http://www.chevronracingcars.com/history/history.html. The B67 was reportedly designed by Mike Thompson for Chevron Cars Ltd when it was owned by Andreason and Coleman.

Sounds like this car may have been Gary Rubinek's? I remember running against one in that period.

Thinkin of this car in period - we had the Van Diemen (not a great year), a couple of Citations, the DB-3, and Reynards. This thing has pullrods front and rear and pretty modern aero. All it needs now is a diffuser and for regional or vintage, would be a decent car other than maybe some parts supply stuff to work through. That's a unique way of doing the front upright and brakes!

gotta think it's a decent chassis for a big driver. Maybe the drag of the wider footbox to accommodate the pullrod suspension was why it didn't sell in bigger numbers

Big Drivers? Yes, I consider myself on the "larger" size, 5'11" and 220 lbs. I am quite comfortable in the car.
