    Default 7age

Was the 7age block ever used in FA?
I have seen 1800cc FA engines, I think.
If so is there a specific casting or year to look for?

    Thanks

    Default 7afe

The common mod is a 4age head on a 7afe block hence the 7age term. Most then off set grind the 7afe crank which has larger big end journals down to 4age size for a 2 lt capacity with custom rods and pistons.

Thanks - are they used in AUS or NZ for a racing series or are they purely a hot rod thing?

They are used in a racing series in Aus (But not Atlantic). The long rod dry sumped stroker engines are reliable up to the 8000 Rpm limit imposed by the series, making 250-260hp. Old Toyota Corolla 7afe engines are easy to come by , No one really values them in Stock form.
