I think you'll have to look far and wide to find a better priced car than the 80A March Tim Gaffney has just reduced to $50K in the FA section.
80A isn't a flat bottom

Flat bottom cars, you make the rockin' world go round!
Mike,
I am selling my March 80A. I have lowered the price from $65K to $50K as I need to sell it asap. One can debate if the 80A is a flat bottom car. The car had a sports car nose, outboard rear suspension and ground effect tunnels. One wonders how effective the pods could have been with little air getting to them and then the outboard suspension fouling the air on exit. I think it is somewhere between flat bottom and ground effects. My car currently has the 79B flat bottom side pods with no ground effects at all.
The car is legal for most events. Tim Fortner is a big Atlantic guy on the west coast and he organized some of those events. He counted an 80A as a flat bottom car. I think the only real question is the big event at Long Beach. I think you would need to speak with them directly about the car and see if they would let you in.
My car is in fantastic condition with very low miles on the engine and a brand new rebuild on the gearbox with Rem polished 9/31 ring and pinion, new pinion bearing and jigged bearing carrier. It is perfect for years to come. The package also has a ton of spares (body wheels, gears, suspension, bearings, adapter) as well as ground effects side pods. I even have a spare tub but that is extra. There is almost enough stuff to make a 2nd car!
LMK if you have any interest.
Tim
