Default The endless trailer black streaking question....

What is being used with success without damaging the white finish? On top of the black streaks, I now have brown stains from an adjoining tree.

Tried Simple Green for aircraft finishes, clear coat polishing compound. and RV black steak remover.

Looking back-I wish that I would have coated the roof when the trailer was new.

    Thanks
    Bob

WD40 was surprisingly effective cleaning a trailer I borrowed for Monterey. Can't remember who suggested it - it wasn't my idea.

One of the very few things WD-40 is good for, adhesive remover is the other.

RV industry has many chemicals and cleaners for black streaks. Depending on exactly what kind of sealant is making the black streaks baby oil may work very well.

Bob, You have black streaks on the roof?

You are one particular guy when it comes to appearance.

I coated my roof with white elastomeric roof sealant from Lowe's about 15 years ago. It dries to a rubbery finish and still looks new if you are truly concerned about the appearance of the roof.

    Default Cleaner/Wax

I used MacGuiers (sp?) Cleaner/Wax with a buffer and it cleaned everything.

    Default Black Streak Remover

Been down this road many times....

In the past I had GREAT luck with this. Spray on; wipe off streaks: [SIZE=1]http://www.amickequipment.biz/bsr.asp But I think the company went out of business. I cant find it. (Toxic?). Instructions showed to spray and wipe immediately. Took my 32' LQ trailer from dirty and permi-stained to gleaming white....

Now I have been using CAMCO. NOT Diluted. Spray on, let it sit, wipe off.

IN a particularly difficult trailer I used the above, plus high speed buff (difficult with exposed screws), followed up by a high quality cleaner wax. But I think I had over 40 hours into that project..... https://www.apexspeed.com/forums/sho...ht=2007+haulin

Now I also wash the roof (just with a brush) and wax the entire trailer sides (now white) 2x a year and try to coat with a nano-sealant annually - Helps prevent the massive project.

I am anxious to see how BIO-KLEEN works.... for anyone who used it.
