    Everyone,

I replaced the gears in my engine and the cam gear I replaced HAD an offset bushing in it. With the stock gears I checked the timing and it was at 110 degrees. In Jake's book it says you need between 112-113 to good HP and if you have a new chain you should have 112 degrees.

I wanted to switch over to offset dowels instead of offset bushings so that I don't have to drill out the gears.

I also have a new timing chain.

BAT only has a 3 degree offset dowel and won't get anything else till mid January. I can't wait that long to get the engine back together so any idea what I should do?

Where else can I get an offset dowel? Should I just go with a 3 or would that be bad news with a new timing chain?

    Thanks,
    Chris

Nevermind... I just called Pegasus and they had it in stock. I ordered it and it should be here in a few days.

I got the 2 degree offset dowel.
