Default Hewland MK9 fixed first gear main shaft

Hi. I am looking for a 14/36 MK9 5 speed fixed first gear main shaft in good condition. If not a 14/36 then something close to the 2.50 ratio. Anybody got one they would like to sell? Thanks.

Mike Gue has a 14:36 fixed first 4 speed for sale on Ebay if that helps.

    Cheers, Joe

My understanding is all Mk9's are 5 speed. We actually use 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gear. The 4 speeds we run just don't have the true 1st gear installed.

Hi Robby. The 5 speeds have a fixed first gear attached right next to the reverse gear. I don't have one on hand because this is for my brother's SF2000 Reynard in New Zealand.

Just wondering if anyone has a spare 36 gear to suit a 14:36 layshaft?

The layshaft that came with my box doesn't have a 36 gear

I'm sure they are a matched set. And not interchangeable.

You now have a nice paper weight. ????
