This tach was purchased over 20 years ago for a restoration that was never finished. So it has been unused all that time and now freshly restored. It is an original Smiths tach from "back in the day".

Peter at Nisonger Instruments said this is a rare original mechanical Smiths tach w/telltale and appraised it at $1500.
