    Eric,
Mine broke exactly like that TWICE.

First time I just got it welded. It broke again.

Second time I made a doubler plate that covered the bolt hole to about 1/2" past the break. Put it on the side away from the frame tubes.

Had a sprint car guy weld it.

That has been at least a dozen years ago and it is still fine.

So if you can't find another one...

I can fabricate a new one for you if you'd like to send me the old one for reference. I could add a doubler as well if desired.

    Cheers,

Thx Cade. I’ve got a guy around the corner that can do it. I was just hoping to find one someone has sitting collecting dust. Maybe from a conversion...

I was thinking of something like that as a solution that could make it resistant to failing in the future. However, I couldn't remember how it attached, and you answered that.

I think that there is a reasonable likelihood that the dimensions of the holes will be unique to your specific car.

Yep. I’m going to have a new one made and probably add “tabs” to reinforce too.

Yes. Each car's plate had it's holes located via a centerpunch using the bolt holes in the tabs as the guides - while the guides were welded in place using a fixture, the usual slight shifting of the tabs from the welding heat was unavoidable.

If you are going to make a new plate, have it done in 7075 instead of 6061, and don't anodize it - have it Alodined (chromate conversion) after all the holes are drilled - and be very careful about rounding the edges to reduce stress risers.
