Emerging from winter hibernation we open the FFCS 50th Anniversary Tour April 5-7 with a favorite event at a historic track – Virginia International Raceway. The VDCA Wild Hare Run offers two sessions per day (plus a Sunday warm-up) on this most challenging circuit. Friday is practice-only, mixed with groups 2,5 & 7, followed by the customary – and some say legendary – FFCS cocktail party, raffles and barbecue. Saturday has two FF-only races followed by the VDCA feast. On Sunday there’s a short warmup, the noon FFCS Feature Race, and a 2:30 PM race for those who can’t get enough track time (possibly mixed with a remaining group 2/5/7 car or two of similar mindset).
The long, fast VIR circuit rewards precision like few others, making for a great driver challenge and spectacularly active racing. Those that have raced here love to return; If you’ve not yet experienced its charms you’re missing not just any “bucket list” track, but one of the greats. The rolling Virginia countryside with budding tress provides a perfect background. Put in your entry now at motorsportreg.com.
