Can someone describe how I can determine the motion ratios for my car? It has a pullrod front suspension and rocker rear suspension. Based on the outcome how do you then determine your wheel rate. Thanks in advance.

The easiest way to determine motion ratio (MR) is to measure shock travel for a given amount of wheel movement near the normal operating position for the suspension. The shock travel divided by the wheel travel is the MR. The wheel rate is calculated by multiplying the spring rate by the MR squared. The squared value is due to the fact that the motion at the shock is the wheel travel times the MR, and the force at the shock is the force at the wheel divided by the MR.
