    Hi gang,

    How much fuel do you use for an avarage national race??

    I'm replacing my fuel cell, .. do I need a 5 gal. or will a 4 gal. cover it OK??

    Nominally, 4 gal would do it, but you can never be sure you're going to pick all of it up, so I'd go with 5 for safety.

    I've used 4.5 gal for a national before and remember that some of the fuel isn't usable based upon how the cell is built..I think I left a good gallon in the tank of my SE-3 when I pumped it "dry" to measure consumption.

    Does that mean that a 5 gal. may not be enough??

    What do the swifts and VD's have??

    Curtis, in my 98 VD, I used 5.5 gals of gas for a full race.

    I really only needed to use about 3 though. I tend to drive off the track in the middle of the race.

    My Euroswift had a 6gal Cell in it, and I could only pump out about 5 gal from it. I believe that the new VD FF have 6 gal cells in them also, can someone confirm this for me?

    And Joe, when did you ever use more than 2 gallons? And multiple sessions doesn't count ;)
