For Sale ANSON SA-6, FSV, FA (club), Vintage, Autocross AM or BM ++++

I liked the car so much, I bought the company!
The original Anson Race Car rights, parts, moulds, drawings are offered for sale as a package with this car.
When contemplating as older car, everyone asks "Where do you find parts?"
With this deal, you get them... mostly they are for the SA-6 model Super Vee, but some for the SA-4 SV, and the SA-3 SV/F3, and
a few for the SA-7 FF.

This car has a Bertil's 1800cc FA club spec engine, professionally rebuilt, with test and autocross minutes on it.
Last time out, it got TTOD against a Shark AM car, a kart (both often had TTOD in the SFR), and other formula cars.
This Anson SA-6 is beautiful, with fresh paint, Aeroquip, and Avon qualifying/AX tires
The chassis, forward of the engine, is honeycomb aluminum. the hard points are castings that are screwed and glued
to the tub. Steel tubing triangulates the engine bay, with the driveline as part of the chassis. This gives the car it's
legendary strength, far better than the common Ralt RT-4, and RT-5.

The bell housing replaces the weak VW/Hewland original, further strengthening the chassis.
There are dozens of unique features on Ansons..
Gary Anderson, the brilliant designer/ founder, went on to engineer the Jordan F1 cars, that impressed greatly in their first year.
He spent many years thereafter in Grand Prix racing.

I got the car as set up for road racing, The Ansons excelled there, and also in street races and ovals.
It is now set for autocross (gears, alignment, electric fan) but easily changed back.

As a pro racer in an Anson (with a low budget), I could often get in the top ten (even in my first pro race in an Anson),
sometimes being as high up as third on the charts.
In club racing, usually the fastest car of the event, as some Vintage Anson drivers have also done.

Aside from the parts inventory, which contains many crucial magnesium uprights and suspension items,
there are 2 sets of BBS 8 and 10" three piece wheels (the pro spec), and a set of 6" mags (original fronts), with new
trailer tires/ high profile for towing ease.

A complete set (the factory original) of SA-6 body molds, and the chassis jig are part of the package.
It is impossible to inventory everything, but the Anson bits and hardware fill a wall of shelving, 18' x 18" x 8' high.
(you get the shelving , too)

These cars are a blast to drive, but you should probably be no larger than me...6' and 235 lbs.

$50,000. gets this slice of racing history that should be enjoyed by someone else.

to discuss, please call (650)796-5132 pacific time
    no texts, please
I can send more photos to the serious.
to see, I am in Carson City, NV, about 20 minutes south of Reno.

    Cheers,
    Mike McHugh

    Mike,

I heard you had it out a while back. I was hoping you would drag it out for CSRG Vintage....

I'm going to forward the info on to a friend who has an Anson tub in his shop.

Sorry for the off subject post. The Anson cars were really cool. I especially loved the SV.

I got the chance to work with Gary Anderson when i went to England to setup some testing for the Stewart F1 team in our labs at Ford Racing in Dearborn. I got the opportunity to work with Gary and the team for a couple of weeks in England defining the testing program in Dearborn and then i got to work with them in Dearborn. The only time i have ever sat in an F1 car! What a gimongous thrill!

Ansons were great cars in their day competing at the sharp end of the field in everything they ran.

Among the safest cars built at the time.
