    Default 2-Layer Nomex Balaclava

Can somebody recommend a plain black 2 layer Nomex Balaclava?
    Any suggestions?

Just to clear things up not joining a terrorist organization or planning to use it in the process of a criminal act.
I have a black speed suit and a black carbon fiber helmet and having a white balaclava does not look that good in pictures.
Since the purpose is for ski racing in cold weather hence the need for 2 layer.

I teach two hockey clinics and on Saturday one of the students came up to me and said: I look forward all week to this practice.

I told the his dad the story and then asked if the kid was playing enough hockey, his dad said he was on travel team last year but we cut back and just had him do house league. We regret it a little.

    Default TWO layers?

Am I missing something? Orig post said 2-layer. Do they make two layer balaclavas? None of the suggested ones appear to be two layer?

I believe the Simpson is 2-layer. Mine wore out so I can't check any more. It was certainly SFI 3.3. As is my definitely 2-layer Oakley.

I've also seen a 2-layer non-SFI on eBay that looked pretty good.

That is why I started the question most are single layer, have had a few that were two layers.
The one I am close to picking is Simpson Carbon-X Balaclava - Single Eye Opening

I have to ask. Way a Nomex one for Ski racing? I have been skiing for over half a century and have yet to see a ski slope burst into flames.

It is warmer than any of the other head socks. Plus it is thinner and fits better under the helmet.
Also it drys faster and if I leave it on top of the heat in the lodging it is still there in morning unlike my boots liners that the wife moved in front of the fire place.

Plus there is easier identification in a pile of head socks at the ski lodge.

& if my times are good I joke about it.

I should think about wearing nomex at the rink the Zamboni has burst into flames on a few occasions.
