    Default Tow Vehicle Rental?

A quick google shows that most rental car companies will not rent out any vehicles for towing purposes.

Has anybody ever done this in a legit way?

Enterprise is it. I used them when a friend’s tow vehicle transmission went out and I needed to one way a 28’ Trailer with 2 cars from Alabama to Florida. Got a new F150. Pulled great.

Have used Enterprise twice now for tow vehicles. F-250's both times without any problems (except mileage sucks!)

About $100/day, unlimited mileage. Won't let you tow down here with an F-150.

    Highly recommend.

    Default Enterprise

I've been renting F250s from Enterprise for going on 2 seasons now. Most vintage events for me are 4 to 5 day affairs counting time to get there on Thursdays and ready for early Friday track time. So - I usually get the weekly rate. I just paid $458 for one that I picked up on a Wednesday and returned on Tuesday. I don't need a tow vehicle for any other reason, so this makes a lot of sense to me.

I got 10.3 MPG for the trip. Gas version. The diesel will do about 3 MPG better but of course the fuel is much higher.

I get an almost new vehicle every time and no worries about breakdowns. Works for me.

Ditto here. I've been renting from Enterprise for about eight years. No initial purchase, no maintenance on the truck, no added insurance cost and I don't have to find more room at the house to park it. Love the F250 diesel.

Does Enterprise ask you to disclose if you intend to tow? Do they charge a premium if so?
Is that $100 daily rate and no per-mile charge typical? Almost too good to be true...

And pretty sure I know this answer, but do they offer gooseneck-ball trucks?

    thx

At one time Enterprise required a commercial account for their truck rentals. No longer?

I'm at the Glen currently and towed up with an F 250 from Enterprise. Third time I've used them. They charge $15/day extra for towing. No mileage charge.
