SCCA and Heartland Park

I hate to start or promote rumors, But did anybody else read in the most recent Sportscar Magazine about SCCA getting close to firming up the deal to purchase a nationally known Dragstrip and Race Track. Hmmmmmmm , Could it be Heartland Park in Topeka.

I highly doubt it, since Ray Irwin (owner of Blackhawk Farms) just bought Heartland Park in Topeka. Nice follow-up to resurfacing BHF and changing the pit in from the track, plus many inside the track surfaces.

Eugene Krause is taking over as Mgr. at Blackhawk, while Ray and Nancy are moving to Topeka. BTW for anyone who cares, yet another "new" operator for the concessions at Blackhawk.

The pending sale to Blackhawk Farms co-owner Raymond Irwin is applauded in an editorial from the Topeka newspaper at:

It sounds like selling to Ray Irwin would be a big positive for Heatland. Hope the deal goes through.
