Don't ask me where his legs and feet are. But it sure looks like it works.

He ain't scared! Pity it went a bit foggy. Great video though.

Very cool. I assume that this is an original Mallock with a live axle and a wob link rear suspension.

You can see the throttle working at the base of the carburetor. very cool.
So, remind me again, why rear-engine race cars are the only way to go.

Mallocks!!! I think they're great! I guess that's why I've got a couple.
They're full of "outside the box" thinking and despite people's low opinion of them they seem to ,when we'll driven, kick the crap out of more accepted designs.
Ray Mallock, Michaels dad, one of Arthur's sons, showed the field of FJs a clean pair of heals at Lime Rock Park this past year in a MK2 he purchased from John Streets.
I saw this car in 1999 at Thunderhill. Built by John Buddenbaum. Amazing workmanship and quite competitive.
I wonder what happened to it. I can't find any trace of it on the internet.
54 in the race last years race, all pre 72 FF's

Many races last year had heats to get into the championship race due to max circuit grid size ~36
There were some great races last year and a couple of examples:

I think we had about 60 pre 72 cars at the 40th at Road America.

I have heard Mallock's are very small in the cockpit. Any past or present owners can clarify ? Worse than most mid engine FF's ? It sure would be nice to escape the massive Hewland cost of mid engine cars.
Greg
I have a '72 Mallock 11b, which I purchased from someone who is 6'2 or so, and not what I would call small. I would say that it's certainly comparable to a FF cockpit, although confess I haven't done an actual comparison.
I was at Road America in September with the VSCDA, and saw Ray Mallock handle most, if not all, the FJs that were there. Having said that, I do think that Ray is both a highly experienced, and quick, driver. Kind of amazing though, considering the front suspension is a pair of independent beam axles.
