    Default WF1 Sports Racer

Hate to do but its time to sell the Stohr. I purchased the car for my dad to run at Indy as a father son project, him in P1 me in F5. I was going to run the car in 2018 but have started back to school and wont have the time and need the money. As some of you know he fell at the June Sprints in a non racing related accident, 7 broken ribs and a collar bone. He clearly was not able to race this year with those injuries. We were almost ready to put it on track after going through the car when before he fell, after his fall I did not have much help in the garage and had to focus on the F600. I have decided to stay with F5/F6 for 2018 for budget reasons.

    The good:

    Price: 31,500 OBO (Amazing deal)
Color: orange and Silver (New! done at professional body shop)
Its a WF1 most successful prototype in SCCA racing
1441 GDRE engine (10 ish hours)
All bearings just replaced or repacked.
4 sets of wheels (1 BBS 3 jongbloed)
    Flatshifter Max and Expert
Spare Dry sump pan new in box with necessary parts
Front and rear jacks with stands
    Gears (lots of them)
    Springs (lots of them)
    P1 legal (could be p2)
    96% race ready

    The bad:
Needs new hoosiers before it can set any track records
    You're not Jeff Schaffer
4% until race ready (few little things and personal preferences)

    More good
Price is OBO or trade for street legal car
The car has a spare wing and engine cover
You have always wanted one and now you can
I am located in the middle if the country so I am "close"
Lots of people and shops with WF1 knowledge

Smokin deal and super tempting.. if only the general contractor hadn't screwed me on my garage build..

I'm hopefully near term to F3000 though, so I digress..

Somebody buy this before I make an irrational decision!!!

The last 4 % is really easy stuff like a new seat unless the old one fits you. Fluids need to be added they were all drained for the winter, flat shifter bolted in, wing reinstalled and engine cover install (It's brand new and fresh out of the mold and paint)

The car was orange and white when 1st raced and was built as a 1000cc car then was the 1st or one of the 1st to be converted to the Busa engine then it was ran as a blue and white car. It ran in the Runoffs at Road America. That's all I can remember off the top. Please fell free to email me with what you would like pictures of.

    Thanks,
    Barry

It is easy enough to pad up the seat to fit you if you are smaller than the CO. If larger, then it can be modified easily. I am still using Benny's seat who is larger than I am. I added some pads to the body to support my shoulders and put some pads on the seat sides to pinch it in. You will probably have to reposition the pedals but this is easy to do.

Reinstalling the wing, doing fluids and the engine cover is simple. Simple enough that if you cannot do it then you should be considering a more maintenance free car to own.

This car is pretty much a twin to my Stohr. The price is low so someone should grab it.

    Default Paul Rosens old car

That is Paul Rosens old car. Lee Stohr took care of this car in its early days. Not sure where it went from there.

Yep. David Watson (Ontario, Canada) bought the car and converted it from the original Yamaha to a 1441cc Hayabusa.

    Default Sale

Guess the new price is 29500 obo. Would like extra space in the garage to work on the F5 and Corvette.

    Thanks,
    Barry
