Any idea if it's the same as an 86 RT4 cover?
    If so, I have one.

    Default Thank you!

That is great. Would you be open to selling it? If so, what would the cost be?

I would absolutely sell it but I need to find it first. I also have an oil fill cover from the same car if your interested.
I'll start the hunt when I get in the shop tomorrow.

Unbelievably, I found them. The battery cover looks to be stripped to the gel coat and needs some love for the Dzuse fastner. The oil fill cover looks to be new and unused.
$100 for the two of them plus freight?

I know. It's from an 86 RT4 like I stated earlier in the thread.

Battery covers are "sided" - I.e. right side pod versus left side pod. Only different is where the angle cut is on the cover. Most RT-4/5 car had the battery in the left side pod just aft of the side pod brace. There were some cars that had the battery on the right side, aft of the side pod brace. Of course, most owners made modifications.

That is most definitely a RALT battery cover. You pick the side.

I'm pretty sure I remember the battery cover and the oil tank cover were on the right side on my old car which was the ex Shelton/Cerbo 86 RT4

Let me know if Daryl doesn't take one or both parts. I don't really need them but might be nice to have. My battery opening is on the right.

Just FYI, the changeover to right hand side pod battery location occurred somewhere around the 1983-1985 models. They were playing with different locations of the oil/water coolers, batteries, oil tanks, overflow bottles, oil coolers and radiators. Before that the batteries were located in the left hand side pod.
