Chassis # 032
I bought this in Dec 2016 expecting to run it this season. After long thought, I think I've had enough fun in racing these cars and will permanently let go of racing with the sale of this car.
This was a Cape car, advertised as very low miles on the Knapp engine. Has all the right stuff.
Starts right up, runs great, shifts through all gears. Braille battery. Brakes look new. Wired for radio, etc. Belts still good through 2018. Fire system in green. No leaks (!). Left sidepod top was crunched at one time and is a bit heavy with the bodywork repair (epoxy) done by someone before me. The nose had some wear outs on the bottom, and I repaired it with carbon/Kevlar weave and epoxy. Diffuser had a couple wear-throughs, and I repaired those with S-glass and epoxy. The only other thing I did to the car was set it up slightly softer with lower rate springs and the smaller diameter FARB (how I used to set up my old RF99). Most of the front of the bodywork is white vinyl wrap.
Minimal spares but includes:
- One set of OZ's
- Four sets of springs
- Larger diameter FARB
$28K will do it for me.
