Post A-Arm Flanged Sleeve Bearing (Merlyn or similar)

For a Merlyn, there are plastic/nylon flanged sleeve bearings in the A-arms with a metal sleeve inserted though the sleeve bearings to bolt to the frame.

Does anyone have a distributor that has an exact replacement for these? I searched on web, but have yet to find an exact match.

I am leaning to buying an undersized ID and reaming it out from 1/2 to 9/16 to make it work. All other dimensions should work as is.

These at McMaster are a close match, but the 9/16 ID is a bit tough to find. And for Merlyn owners, I know I can call Cap, but they don't seem to sell just the sleeve bearings, and the set with the metal sleeves is a bit pricey.

    Thanks in advance!

    Default End link bushes

Try using sway bar end link poly urethane bushes and turn them down in a lathe. They are two piece just like the original Merlyn units.

Hey Graham! Where have you sourced them in the past?

Take a look at the Lee Chapman site. If I understand what you are looking for correctly, he has a wide variety and can also help source odd ball sizes.

Default Cap (Merlyn USA) can get them

    Jeff,

I got a set from Cap at Sunworks (Merlyn parts distributor in the US).

I still have my old ones if you need one or two.

    Angus,

I have a set from Cap, but they didn't include enough for all A arms. I have older ones that work for now, so was looking for a 2nd source.

    Thanks.
