Default '69 Alexis ~ question.

Question from a total novice.
The chassis number on my recently acquired '69 Alexis is AT84. The frame has the number 42-035 stamped over a rollbar inspection hole and this is the number appearing on the 1988/89 race log book.
What is the frame number, it's significance and how did it arrived there?

The 42 is the number of the SCCA region that issued the original logbook. 035 means it is the 35th log book issued by that region. Region 42 is currently the Washington D.C. Region. However at some point the region numbers were reassigned. In 1969, Region 42 could have been elsewhere.
