ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. (April 7, 2004) -The Cooper Tires Championship Series today announced it has added Mosport International Raceway to the 2004 schedule. Featuring the Formula Ford Zetec Championship, Formula SCCA Championship and SCCA Sportscar Championship, the Cooper Tires Championship Series, will be part of the annual Victoria Day weekend, May 21-23.

Commencing with a dedicated test day for Cooper Series competitors on Wednesday, the three championships will contest two rounds on the demanding 2.459-mile road course. While 2004 will mark the first-ever visits to the Canadian track by the Formula SCCA and Sportscar Championships, the Zetec Championship has raced numerous times at Mosport, with the last race being held in 2002.

The Cooper Series will race in conjunction with the SCCA Pro Racing MazdaSpeed Miata Cup, Canadian Formula Ford Championship and ISSECO/KUMHO Formula Vee Championship.

In addition to adding Mosport to the 2004 schedule, the Lime Rock Grand Prix has been removed from the schedule. Originally planned for May 29-31, Lime Rock has been removed for logistical reasons.

Drivers competing in the Cooper Tires Championship Series races at Mosport, may not race in the CASC Ontario Regional races the weekend prior to Victoria Day weekend event.
