Default Any of our ApexSpeed vendors or forum regulars sell HJC?

I'm looking to start compiling a list of ApexSpeed friendly vendors who sell HJC helmets. At PRI, an HJC rep told me that the AR-10 III (SA2015) should be due out in February sometime. I just want to get things lined up so that I can purchase ASAP once they come in. If there are any discounts or deals for ApexSpeed members coming up as well, I'd obviously be interested. PM me if needed.

For anyone interested, I contacted HJC Motorsports on Facebook and they stated that the AR-10 III will be released at the end of this month.

    Keith,
Do you know what "type" of fit the HJCs have? As in, fit for more of a rounded head, or someone that has a long & narrow head?
My current Bell could stand to be longer front to back, and I'd hate to get into shipping multiple helmets back & forth to try.

All of my previous helmets were Bell and when trying on the Bell, Simpson, HJC, Zamp, Arai, etc... at PRI the HJC fit was VERY comfortable. It was comparable to the Arai in comfort if not more comfortable. I believe my head shape is more on the longer/narrow side so I would definitely check it out.

I have the same issue with the Bell shape, tight front to rear. I bought an HJC and I think it's the best fit I have ever had. I don't have the model number right now but it has a little scoop on top that caused some lift. I tried on a Stilo and it was tighter front to rear than the bell but they were supposed to change their fit some. I think Arai is a little more round than Bell but changes by model. This was all about 5 years ago. If your going to have it painted check to see if it can be disassembled. My HJC could not and made more work for painter.

    Default HJC Helmets

HJC sells a lot of helmets through motorcycle shops, so if you want to check fit a motorcycle shop might be a convenient option.

You may have better luck but I tried going that route when I bought my HJC (which I really like) and gave up trying to explain what the SA rating meant and why I couldn't just use one of their motorcycle helmets. I went through a racing gear retailer and got great service.

No guarantee that the shape will be the same. Arai has multiple head shapes for their motorcycle helmets. Only one for the motorsports.

I have always bought Bell, but early last year there was none to be had in my size even in the 2010's. Nothing in stock in So Cal.
I stumbled upon HJC and they had 2010 inventory at that time and went to their store/warehouse. They had a composite helmet in my size and the salesman spent about an hour with me fitting the different sizes of inner pads. I got a smokin deal as it was a 2010. It was a model SI-12R, p/n 6RWS10. Very light and comfortable fit.
They had about 50 motorcycle helmets in the showroom on display. The salesman, Romel Ramirez told me that most of their helmets go to the motorcycle crowd thru their dealers. He said they were discontinuing manufacture of SA helmets and will not making any SA2015's. So evidently they are continuing SA helmets.

    Default HJC Helmet Fitment

If BELL is tight in the forehead front to back, HJC usually fits our customers better. However, you usually have to go up a size so if you wear a Large in Bell, try an HJC in XL.

We were told the AR10-III helmets SA2015 will be coming by end of this month.

thanks for the feedback, guys. I think this is what I will end up with.

    ApexPerformance-
2nd what Keith said... please let us know when they get in stock. I'd prefer to help a forum vendor over a random internet search result.

Me too. I don't have a recent vendor list from Doug to see who is a current paying vendor and I tried to reach out to Driving Impressions who has helped me in the past but never got a response so I might as well send a vendor who is active on the forum for support.

Left a message for you yesterday, Linda. I was wondering about availability of face shields, tear offs, and the aero piece as well.

I don't know if sa10 accessories will work on sa15. Think the eye opening is larger on the sa15 but have to confirm with HJC on monday. It was too late last night when I received the message. Stay tuned.

I think Keith is meaning there are none of the accessories listed on the HJC page being available on the ApexPerformance page yet. I was going to ask the same thing.

Default HJC SA10 accessories not compatible with SA15 helmets

Unfortunately the SA2010 shields will not fit the new AR-10III helmets.
They had to redesign the shield since they enlarged the eye port for the AR-10III helmet.

Thanks, Linda! I'm assuming the new face shields, tearoffs, and aero piece will be coming in at a later date then, correct? I'm putting my order in now... Just an FYI... It appears the ApexSpeed code is a 5% discount instead of %10 so you may want to adjust your signature. Thanks for supporting the ApexSpeed community!

HJC shows the part number on the dealer info but no pricing so not sure it's available yet. Will confirm.

I received my helmet & shield today. Very nice looking & fitting helmet. It definitely runs smaller as mentioned earlier in the thread, but I bought a size up compared to my Bell GTX2.
If you are looking for the chome visor, though, be aware it isn't the silvery chrome that HJC shows. It's a very dark chrome... basically black.
Thanks to Apex for the service & discount. Great dealing with them.
