    Default Armstrong Shocks

Does anyone have specs on Armstrong Coil Over Shocks AT9/SA 22 231. They were on my Lola T250 FSV that I'm restoring. I'm assuming the adjuster on the shock reservoir is for rebound. The springs are also a mystery. The front is marked 5 160 0805, here I go assuming again, 160 in/lb spring. Any help would be appreciated...........

For the springs, just looking at the photo, the wire looks pretty skinny, so they could well be 160 lb/in (160 in/lb would be a little soft ;-} )
But on the web you can easily find a formula for calculating spring rate from wire dia. (subtract a few thou for the paint coating), OD or ID, and no. of coils, should get you within 10%.
FWIW, Carroll Smith says good springs are never plated, hopefully yours are just nicely polished...
