That beautiful Zink would be fun with a Honda behind the seat.
Callum is selling this one.

I think I would be more worried about how legal a 121hp spare engine is. That is almost 10hp more than my recently built Ivey engine.

It's not a spare
Came out a Merlyn Mk11 bought from America and shipped to the UK, only taken out due to having a engine sat in the workshop.
He wouldn't take the engine out as he didn't want a engine just sat there
Spec sheets there and so is dyno. We spoke to engine builder and he's sound.
Hi there I have spoken to the engine builder and he said that this engine is legal, I am prepared to take the head off and take pictures of the head and the bores if anyone wants them. As for the fact that it has 10hp more than yours, all dyno's have a different readings, e.g. the engine builder I use for my other car, his dyno reads my engine at 120bhp but when I used a different dyno that read it at 113hp. This doesn't mean this engine is suddenly illegal when it goes back on the first dyno.
If anybody is interested in what it would give on a dyno over here, I will be happy to take it out and put it on one as long as the dyno cost are paid by them.
Any other questions please ask. But please don't suggest that this engine is suspect.
thanks

Yes, a Kent can be SCCA legal at 121 HP. Some of it is the luck of the draw on head castings/porting and the rest is some significant attention to detail that few are willing to pursue, particularly in the bottom end with scrapers and scavenging.
I can also understand why you would not want to sell it to a fellow local competitor.

It's advertised as an MWE engine. MWE is a very reputable builder and not known for building illegal motors so that should not be a question. The only real question should be the accuracy of the dyno #. It it dynos at anything above 110 on any other dyno, it is still quite reasonably priced. I have a Quicksilver motor that is quite strong but the dyno number is not terribly impressive. My rebuild cost more than the asking price here.

I have a complete, rebuildable engine for sale. It was originally built by PHP. It is an uprated engine with a flywheel set up for an F3 style clutch.
