    Default Nose Box for Z10

Steve, What are your recommendations for a nose box that will crush progressively and fit inside the dolphin nose?

Not certain what the dolphin nose. But that is not a real issue.

I can say that I did do some testing of nose types at TRC in Ohio. My guess is that the dolphin nose is not all that much different from the last nose I offered. But tapering the crush box in from the sides would be something I would do.

To do a nose box would not be difficult. No one has asked me to do one. My guess is that it will cost north of $500 to do a good job.

The big challenge in designing a nose box is to have a box that crushes progressively from the front. Also is to have a box that can withstand a strong impact at an angle to the centerline of the car. Most crashed will start with the front wheel striking a barrier and the car then spinning around that tire with the nose cone striking the barrier at an angle.
