I must confess, i'm a bit of a data freak, I like to have tons of data about whats going on with the car and the driver while i'm out on the track.

I haven't gotten the car yet, odviously, but i'm curious what kind of capabilities the included Pi dash has. We ordered all the Pi options which where available from enterprises.

Right now, with my kart i can download rpm / track position / time / rpm / water temp onto my lap top, and then i keep a database on my laptop...

what kind of data aquisition opportunities does the Pi give us? can we see current lap time when we cross the start / finish? More importantly how good is the PC software or should i start working on a standalone database?

does anybody know what Pi's website is? basically i just need to know the run down on this setup... thanks guys!

Your car probably comes standard with a Pi Research C-Dash. This unit offers wheel-mounted instrumentation, and can optionally display lap times, and record tell-tales values for all sensors.

The C-Dash can be connected to either a Pi System 1, or Delta Lite (or even an older System 3). To provide data logging. Not sure what Enterprises offers.

    Pi Research's website is http://www.piresearch.com/

They also have a site to buy things directly http://www.pixpress.com/ This site offers documentation download, and demo software, too.
