Default Indy Auction, FC car and Pace Trailers

Just received a flyer for an auction in Noblesville on Tuesday, inspection on Monday. A FC car, probably a Mazda, and three Pace American trailers of various lengths, one 44' and two 28'. Says the plant is closed FEPCO Inc. Myron Bowling Auctioneers, phone 513-738-3311. Don't know how I got on their mailing list but if I were closer I would attend.

Those look like an early set of Halibrands. If so, they are worth more than the car !

If under that weird color paint is magnesium, those wheels are worth something.

Isn't that a 1994 Radon 94MK1? It certainly looks like a Radon rollhoop.

According to the Auction Catalog it is a "Volkswagon Formula C" hmmm. Could it be an early Super Vee or the very early version of the "Indy Lites" which I think were VW based cars?

Or is it simply Formula Crapola

    Gotta love the wing angles!

If I weren't so busy, I'd drive the 20 miles up there just to see what the heck it is!

I wonder if that's HPD's hospitality motorhome before the re-fit.

    Default Indy Auction

Wheels look larger in the picture than the FC-Formula Super-V 13" diameter specs.

Since it had a VW in it, and was in the Indy area, it could have been a Shriner car used in month of May parades. With that said, the Halibrands look huge compared to the rest of the car, making such possiblities as a mid-60's USAC Indycar doubtful.

Then again, if you take the paint off a clown, you can find just about anything...

The Shriners had little race cars decked-out to look mini-IndyCars for the 500 Festival Parades.
Could be an old FV or FF chassis underneath...or just a homemade, purpose-built frame (a.k.a. 7-pieces of 3/4" square tube, soldered together, that wouldn't hold up in a Soap Box Derby)
    Still...interesting...

Someone has this car listed on the Los Angeles Craigslist page for $8,000.00 !!!! i was trying to find more info on it and ran across this page. You should take a look and the condition its in now vs the photos from a few years ago.
