    Default RPM Pickups

    Hi Everyone,

I am working on a side project building some data acquisition.

What is a convenient off-the-shelf RPM sensor for an automotive (Pinto) type motor?

    Searching google is overwhelming!

    Thanks,
    Jim

Off the top of my head since I am on vacation in Hull have no reference material to check.
But first question is which hardware are you using?
Next from memory Pi provided a filter/ signal conditioner for rpm input.
    Might have some NOS.
I think AIM has one also but

quick google search pulls one up.
If your doing something custom and analog to digital converter might be a solution.

CDS has several models. I think that that the SEN-17B3 would probably work for you, but we'd need to check some of your system details to be sure.
