Last time I checked NLA. I had to buy some off-brand shouldered lugnuts and turn them down to size on a lathe.

It looks like the lug bolts he has are for Revolution wheels with .625" bores. I don't think using then on wheels with .6875 bores is a good idea. Revolutions use the bolts for centering.

Also, if his really are 7/16" threads, there isn't a lot of material outside the threads (more like helicoils). I have never seen that size shank with 7/16" threads (almost always 3/8" like my front wheels).

Great advice! I won't be using the lug nuts from DanW on .6875 wheels as I have another set of Revolutions that have the smaller .625 bore size and I will be using them there. Thanks for ensuring my safety.

No problem. I have a set for the 'fronts' (3-1/2" offset .625" lugs and 3/8" studs) and a set of 'rears' (2-1/2" offset .6875 bores and 7/16" studs).

I looked into 7/16" threads in the smaller bore and decided that when I make the change to the front hubs, I will bore the wheels out to the larger size.

7/16" thread and .625" OD is what about every small formula Lola came with in the mid 1970's. I've used them on T-440 and T-492, in various lengths to suit the wheel.

If I where looking, I would probably get these http://www.minimania.com/part/D625LO...-15-Long-Shank

and drill/tap for the 7/16" NF thread, and shorten to fit if needed.

    Brian,

Thanks for looking but, I have Revolutions that need the .67/.68 diameter size lug nuts. The .625 size is too small for these wheels. Minimania does have the .68 size lug nuts but, the shank lengths are too short.

    Jim,

I ordered two different size Revolution lug nuts for my Lotus 51 a couple years ago from a vendor on ebay UK.

Here is a general search for the Revolution lugs nuts in 7/16" size. You may need to play around with the search to get what you want if they are available.

    Default Finally found lug nuts!

Dan, Blah and Dk540, unfortunately none of those have shank lengths long enough for my needs but, thanks for the info. I finally found some from an Ebay seller from the UK, but not ones they are presently offering online there. I am purchasing them from him direct to be shipped Monday May 9th. The Ebay seller is Speedshacklondon and his email is speedshack@live.co.uk. They were very friendly and had timely responses from my email inquires.

    Thanks for all the help.

    Default The Lugnuts Arrived!

They arrived Tuesday May 17th. They are exactly as they advertised and what I needed. I strongly recommend Ebay seller Speedshacklondon. They were great to deal with.
