Its really nice and pretty cool to have the garage. Unload all you stuff and close the overhead door when you leave the the day. No need to put up a canopy and have power for fans, microwave, etc.
Now that the weekend is behind you, what kind of lap times did you turn? What were the peak RPMs on the big straights? How did the cars do for oil and head temps?

According to my DA: (which I am still learning how to use)
Top Speed- 115.4 mph
Max RPM- 6584
Oil Temp- High of 209 degrees
CHT- Sensor failed. I saw 420 degrees when it was working but then it went up to 2,265.
Best lap time for me- 2:24.239 on the Test Day. Allan was in the 2:21's during Qualifying.
The track and people at DIS were the best and the whole weekend was logistically the easiest I've ever experienced. It's so big nothing was ever crowded including registration, etc. I'll go back as soon as I can. (And this is with every Open Wheel and Sports Racer class in the same Group)

I think your MPH calculation may be slightly slow.
If you were seeing just shy of 6600 RPM, have the spec gear box and tires, your MPH should be closer to 120 than 115

What's the best way to check the gear ratios to make sure they are right? Maybe my tire circumference is wrong also. It sure felt like I was going 120!

I'd bet the gear box is correct.
If your going off dash system info, the common issue is tire circumference.

Except for the 2000 degree aberration the temp numbers are very good.
What was the ambient temp?
I think the CHT of 2000 was close to right. When we started this class we were told by many FV 1200 experts that you could not keep a 1600 from melting down without a fan..
BTW, re: wheel speed. There is also a slight expansion of the tire at speed. So another 1+ inch added to the wheel circumference would probably be closer. GPS, would also probably be a bit higher.
Aluminum melting point begins at 1100F.
Gary, During the weekend my vee was showing 110 to 112mph and just under 6300 rpm with a long box. There was a strong wind down the front straight which makes a big difference. I was also running by myself. It wold have been a good weekend for a short box. Typically I see over 500 degrees at top speed. That's with the sensor under the plug. My high speed cooling is not too good. I experienced a suspension failure during qualifying and did not make the Sat race. My data is from Sunday with ambient temps around 90. Our lap times were similar so you can compare to some extent. John
