In their spam they talk about the arrive and drive concept like it is a new idea. Hasn't Skip Barber been doing that since the 80's?
Not a word about FE. Hmmm

I thought about that too, but that's not where his background is. He could have mentioned SOMETHING about growing the class.

I noticed that too. I was exchanging texts with a couple of fellow FE racers yesterday after the press release. I was pretty disappointed that he never even mentioned FE. I know that we are the step child, but the complete omission has me concerned.

Enterprise will only care when you get a new engine package they can make $$$ of off. Or the next new 'update'.
These are actually decent race cars, particularly when you consider the cost. What simply blows my mind is that There have been 125 of these cars sold in the US and a grand total of 25-30 are out there racing. How is this possible, where are these cars hiding?
Thanks ... Jay Novak

with a special thanks to every SCCA worker (NONE OF US WOULD RACE WITHOUT THE WORKERS)
Before I became a civilian again I worked with Robey on the Majors program, so I took it upon myself to contact him with some of the concerns expressed here. He apologized for the oversight and said he would be posting here on ApexSpeed this weekend.
He can certainly speak for himself but here's a direct quote from the text he sent me: "I plan to pay a lot more attention to FE/ESR this year to get the 90 plus cars that are parked back on the track."
Some of y'all might be red-headed, but you're not considered step-children...

Robey called me last week and seemed very interested in expanding the FE fields. He's very aware that we are in a good place with the CenDiv/Great Lake Series and the emergence of the SE series. He's anxious to get the garage queens out and running and make sure that new cars are available as well. We had a good talk and I'm looking forward to working with him in the resurgence of FE.

EXR guys are here at Laguna Seca this weekend! Romain Thievin, Alexandre Premat and Tristan Vautier driving. I got to meet Romain and Alexandre today. So cool. I don't think Tristan was here at the track yet.
The cars are actually quite nice looking, inside and out. Sequential gearbox, which I didn't expect for such an entry level car. The more basic cars, I think LV02? run on A048 type tires (R compound). They had 1 of the LV03? cooler looking car, which was on slicks.
Headlight stickers, and the front grill is also a decal. Didn't expect that. The recess for the headlight sticker is a basic rounded rectangle while the sticker is a somewhat more modern shape, so up close it looks awkward since it doesn't fit in the opening. Hey if that's the only flaw ...
Apparently it's cheaper than an NP01, and has been running in europe for 6 years, including in enduros. So it's well sorted by this point.
The superfinal is a $5000 entry with a $100k purse to the winner. wow.
UGH, don't know how to rotate the pics around.
just take your laptop and turn it upside down. the pictures are now easy to see.
Just catching up on the Erik + EXR LV02 emails and came here to find this..
As for 'spam' - SCCA sells our emails and contact info to businesses.. so there is a good chance Erik bought the list from SCCA to send promotions. The email that I received the promotion is the email I use for SCCA, and not for Apex...
As with most email like that - I use the unsubscribe link instead of marking it as spam...
Anyhow, back to the track - has anyone here thought about driving one?
4 x 25 min sessions for $3990. $1k per 25 mins...

That pricing is for track days. Racing is more expensive. $5000/day (=3x25m sessions or $1600 per 25 mins). Earlier they had a mandatory insurance on top of that but the current entry form doesn't have a box for that now.
...........I did not know they were racing in Australia
