There is some shady history with this car that I do want to be known.
Its was found in the woods in Alberta. The guy that found it, reported it and turned it over to the RCMP. The RCMP conducted an investigation which included trying to contact the last known owner. After the investigation turned up nothing, the RCMP returned the car to the guy that found it, along with a signed letter stating he was the registered owner. I have a copy of this letter, a bill of sale from the seller, and I also spoke with the RCMP officer that conducted the investigation. I can email this information to any interested party.

I had plans to build it into a libre racer, but my kids are keeping me too busy. I have the opportunity to purchase some property that I'd like to free up some cash for.

Car is located approx 2 hrs west of Ottawa Ontario.

Please feel free to ask any and all questions

    Hi

Too bad. So you will be back in the Legend this year? I sold my Sports Racer and have a new steed (well it is known in our area). I just wish going faster did not cost exponentially more for each couple of seconds!

BTW I get the property thing: I would LOVE to have some close to CMP, and save some driving, after driving, if you know what I mean.

Hard to imagine they couldn't trace it back with the graphics on the car.

The RCMP did attempt to contact them, but they did not reply. I have my own opinions about what happened, but they are only that..opinions. Either way, the car is free and clear.

That is correct. That was the last time it was raced as far as I can tell.

I've been asked several times, what all is included. I went on the Star racecars website made a shopping cart worth of the parts included with the tub. I also included the list price for each part. Please note that these may not be the actual parts that come with the car. Example: I don't know if I have the long or short pushrods, or I'm not sure which swaybar that I have, which pads or rotors I have etc. There were some items, that were not listed on the Star racecars website. And I did not include lots of the little bushings, pins, bolts etc. This list is just for reference.

Shocked that there is $44k worth of goods (new retail cost) sitting on that cart.

Didn't the pro series go to a bunch of new spec parts in 09 that would not make some of those components not pro legal?

Just the shocks and rocker arms as far as I know. They allowed carbon bodywork aswell.

I've got parts from that car from when it was crashed so hard the gearbox split in half...cheap! I always wondered what happened to the tub, the dad was trying to sell it for years, guess he finally gave up.

The tub appears to be in good shape like stated. I was unaware of any crash. I did find this add from the previous owner stating that the transmission "went".

    Default New Price

I have had zero time to work on this project. Asking price reduced to $5000usd
I also have picked up a slightly damaged nosecone, old spec front wing, and complete rear wing that I may include for the right price.

Not at this time. I have two interested parties right now. I would not have much use for the rest of the pieces.

for $5000 just buy it all - that's a deal for just the parts you want, plus you can potentially sell off the rest yourself.

ok, if things change LMK. Im looking to turn it into a full motion racing simulator so dont have much use for the other parts. Parts I do need would be tub, Air intake, shock cover and nose just in case things do change on your end. Thank you for the quick reply.

    Default NOT Sold!

It is with great regret that I must confess that I've had to back out of this deal.

After LOTS of conversations with regular PFM racers, I think this is too much car for me RIGHT NOW.

    Maybe I'll be back later.

    Sorry Petawawarace.

    Blair, looks like it's yours!

    Default Still available

Car is crated up and ready to be shipped.

Cost to ship will depend on location but the two quotes I did get were around $700 USD to Cali and $1100 to Portland

    hi guys,

Im going to try a put a deal together on this car but like I posted earlier, I only need tub, air intake, shock cover and nose and steering column. Things like fire system, fuel system, suspension, uprights brakes, dampers, fuel cell, A arms I do not need. Anyone out there looking for the parts that come with this?

Im thinking I buy it, strip out all that I dont need and then ship to any interested parties the balance of parts. Anyone out there interested in some of the parts? LMK. Thanks guys
