Wanted To Buy Ron Chuck Shock Mounts

I have called Ron Chuck Engineering several times with no return call. Does anyone have a Left side mount that I can buy? I will buy several pairs if I can.

It's nearly impossible to get Ron to call back. I know the last run of mounts is long since sold. Scott Meyer who posts here makes a nice similar mount.

    Default Similar mount

If anyone can post a contact for Scott Meyer, or a picture of his mounts, I would really appreciate it.

    Greg,

We have a single upper mount lying around somewhere, so let me check on which side it is and get back to you.

We have these if your interested. A vee is coming into the shop later this week, we could fit them to that chassis.
Just would need to know what bolt sizes you want for shock and mount.
$20 and pay for shipping, they're yours.

    Default Shock mounts

I have a similar set but they move and bend. I may have to precisely model some so I can have them CNC'd. A lot of work unless someone has all that geometry.

    Thanks for trying!

Your shocks must be pretty stiff.

Unfortunately, the machinest that was making the shock mounts for me went out of business and took all the CNC programing information with him.

I looked into having other suppliers make the mounts but it just wasn't cost effective.

Tiago Santos was CNC'ing shock mounts not too long ago with a machine he had personally. Try contacting him and see if he can still make them. He was a pretty frequent apexer so his contact info shouldn't be too hard to find

I'm here.. I made a few sets using Scott's mounts as a template. Had to make changes to my fixtures and the CNC code since the first setup was pretty inefficient, and just ran out of time to finish the new fixtures, etc. I have some ideas on making the mounts better, lighter and easier to machine, but I don't know when/if I'll get around to it, especially now that my Vee is gone.

    Default Shock mounts

    Mark,
    Any luck finding that mount?

    Tiago Santos,
Would you be willing to let me finish the code & fixture?

    Greg,

I found two upper mounts ( L & R), but I know I have a single in one of my containers and will verify tonight. I was removing the pan from my Citation last night and got side tracked except I found the pair farly easily. We'll work out something if I can't locate the single mount ...

    Default Shock mounts

    Mark,
Did you find out which single mount you have?
Mitchell Ferguson & I are going to play at Road Atlanta so I need to find one & get it to him in Roanoke by the end of next week since I have one set and he has none.

    Thanks,
    Greg

    Default Front Shock Mounts

    Greg,

I have a new set that I got from Ron several years ago, they have never been installed; also included is the hardware kit that Ron provided. Let me know if you are interested.

    Thanks.

    Default Shock mounts

I have a set of what appear to be Ron Chuck shock mounts on my Vista Bushwacker. I will plead my ignorance, but ask for an "education."

What do the "Ron Chuck shock mounts" do?

I will now get out of the way and let the fun begin.

They move the shock behind the beam upright, out of the wind stream.
