    Default Pro tires

I understand the pricing associated with the pro tire includes a percentage for contingencies, however I don't understand why the pro tire is not approved for club racing.
This should be taken care of shortly. A weight adjustment would need to go through the letter process.

Letter submitted to increase weight by 10 lbs, the approx difference in weight the radial adds compared to a similar sized bias ply from what I understand.

Don't see a need for a weight increase. Leave it alone.

Only reason for a weight increase is to keep weight inline where basically it was before. Some newer cars are built lighter then older cars and this helps keeps things in check. In the past, in series that have spec tire rules, I have seen them increase min weight when introducing a new tire that weighs more then previous spec tires.

If you wish to leave it alone I'm not going to argue, I simply feel it fair for the entire class to simply bump it up a few lbs to avoid people spending more dollars to try to shed the extra weight they are now adding by running the spec tire.

I thought last years pro tire was the same tire as the new spec tire. I was given 17 lb as weight for an R45, and the Hoosier website list the R60 at 16 fr / 18 rear. Anyone have different data?

Default I know the info is on the Hoosier site

look at the F1600 tire information against R45 or R35 bias tire. 10 or 11 pounds as I recall

    Default Vintage CF Tires

Reawakening this thread. What tires are Vintage CF cars running in 2016? Is there any market for a new set of R35s?

    Hello Frank,

I think it depends on the organization. Monoposto CF insists on treaded avons or dunflops. SVRA allows the same until midyear, then all on toyos.

SCCA Regions each have their own rules.

SoloII CM drivers would buy them for hot weather/abrasive courses.
