Default Video of DUFFUS #4 @ Pitt Race

The DUFFUS #4 weekend at Pitt Race was one heck of a cold weekend. I don't think the temp got above 46F. But the FF and CFF racing was exciting. Here are clips of 2 of the weekends races.

    Saturday afternoon race:

    Sunday afternoon race:

Now I just have to figure out why youtube will not let me upload video with a higher quality than 360p.

When a video is first uploaded it stays in a lower resolution for a couple hours. You will have max resolution in a little bit.

    RSS,

Thanks for the info on the video quality. I thought it might have had something to do with youtube taking time to "process" the video when I upload it. It is now showing up in 720p for me.

I hope to post the video of the Sunday morning race some time tomorrow. The sleet and snow arrived just in time for the last couple of laps.

    Default Thanks

    Mike,

thanks for posting those! Here is the rear view from my car to complement the first bit of the video in the first link. Saturdays afternoon Race. Note the sleet falling on my car once it is stopped!

I overdrove the exit trying to break away but to be honest Phil and Riley and Dave were putting on a CF show that was beyond my driving skill

Thanks for posting the video. Looks like great racing, and the track looks like a ton of fun. Too bad my RV doesn't like towing over mountains.

The track extension is a lot of fun in the dry. It's crazy slippery in the wet (unlike the old part of the course). The video doesn't really do justice to the elevation changes, they are pretty significant.

Now they just need to smooth out the old part of the track. It's really bumpy.

One interesting note is that two CFs, and possibly one of the pro F1600 cars had left rear hub failures. I assume that's related to the high G loading in the tight, banked turn (turn 6?) at the bottom of the new section. You really get pressed into the ground so traction is great.
