Entries are open and we currently only have one entry (me).

Note the Organizers (WMR) have allowed defered payment by CC, so you can enter and not be charged until after the event, so there is no excuse for not getting your entries in.

Well so far very disappointing entry list for Grattan!

Two (yes thats 2) FSTs are entered...... Doug and myself, I know Jared will be there but I suspect we should have at least a few others.

If you have any chance of going then get your entries in....

Unfortunately my wife and I have multiple work and family conflicts that weekend so I will not be at Grattan.

OK good news is we have 4 cars entered maybe 5...would be great to get 1 or 2 more....

I suspect with 4 cars the run groups will be collapsed so we will end up in the usual combined small formula car field - never fear my plan is not to run into anyone this time

Dont forget there is a test day on the Friday (10-5), both a full and half day testing fees are available so if you haven't run yet this season you can blow some dust off the car, or if your like me and you have a need for a wheel alignment now might be the time for a quick track check.

This is still one of the cheapest race weekends for entry and testing fees so lets support the event....

In case you haven't seen it we are now in Race Group 4, which is the Second Run Group, along with the rest if the small formula cars (FF,CF, FST, FV).

As a result of the reduction of race groups, I believe we will now get a 20min practice Saturday morning, followed by a 20min qualifying and then a 30min race. Sunday's schedule will not change.

Qualifying 1 Results

My Sunday race report is a bit belated as I suddenly found myself immersed in other matters after the 7.5 hour run home from Grattan. Sunday brought a new winner to Formula First. Dr. Doug Sharpe brought his electric chartreuse Jacer in for a very popular win. He made no mistakes in a great drive. Doug Seim almost got his electrical gremlins controlled but not quite as he finished 5 seconds back from Dr. Doug. A real surprise was Gary Morman who brought his new Adams conversion in third. The Adams itself is far from new but as a FST it never turned a wheel on the track. All Saturday Gary fixed ride height issues, shifting issues and still had a few to fix at the end but altogether an impressive weekend for Gary. I expect that he’ll be working hard in weeks leading up to Mid Ohio and I look forward to the result.
