All.
I've built a floor for my race car that is uniform and "flat" from splitter/nose to diffuser inlet into the diverging diffuser. My question regards the "smoothness" of the "flat" bottom.
I have protective rub strips around 1/4-turn fasteners that are teardrop-shaped and protrude into the air stream ~1/4". There are six of these strips ~3"W x 6" L on the bottom surface. Ride height is ~1.5" (37mm).
Question: Should I be concerned about the effect of these strips upsetting flow and reducing downforce?
Thanks;
Greg
