    Default shock pressure

    we have penske 3 way shocks on our rt 41, what effect does canister pressure play in performance we currently run with 200 psi -max is 300 psi ,we have removed the rear sway bar and run 8oo springs rear and 700 front.

    thoughts !!

    High gas pressure prevents cavitation, but also acts like a small additional spring rate. Normally we try to use the lowest pressure that doesn't allow cavitation at the shock settings you use. This could be as low as 125psi normally.

    Try lowering your shock pressures on a test day. -- did the car get better, worse or feel the same?

    If you would like to visit us up in Paso Robles and bring your shocks we can run them on our shock dyno and see the effect of gas pressure on your valvings/settings.
